top kpop performances of june 2021

check out our favorite performances from kpop groups and solos released this month

To create our list of the best performances of the month, we watched more than 100 videos. For songs where there were both music videos and live stages, we did not focus on one particular video but the overall series of performances.

10. Damage by Just B

Just B‘s debut performance is an explosive, high-energy feast for the eyes that allows the members to show off their expert skill at executing sharp, precise choreo.

9. Moonlight by BDC

Mid-way through microphones join BDC on the stage, bringing to mind performances from the 70s and 80s in keeping with the decidedly retro vibes of the song.

8. Lockdown by EPEX

By making difficult hip-hop choreography look like a breeze, EPEX solidifies their status as rookies to watch, and the powerful stage is a perfect match for their debut song.

7. PTT by LOONA

PTT shows off every member of LOONA’s dance skills. The choreo uses the group’s size to its advantage without ever allowing the stage to feel cluttered or chaotic.

6. Gambler by Monsta X

The choreo for Gambler perfectly complements the BDE that pulsates through the single from Monsta X’s latest album, and we’re particular partial to that inverted V toward the end.

5. Alcohol-Free by TWICE

Like the song, the performance for Twice‘s Alcohol-Free is light, flirty and refreshing, and hand movements representing various cocktails make it so much fun.

4. Ready to Love by SEVENTEEN

SEVENTEEN once more proves that they’re the kings of eye-catching transitions with the unforgettable choreo for their new single.

3. Higher by A.C.E.

By adding dancers at key moments, the choreography for Higher perfectly matches the song’s shifts between moody softness and soaring drama, and as usual, ACE gives a mesmerizing performance that shows what skilled dancers they are.

2. Sneakers by Ha Sungwoon

The choreography for Sneakers is full of visual surprises with Ha Sungwoon‘s dancers perfectly utilized to add interest without distracting from the solo star.

1. Poison by Pink Fantasy

We listened to Poison before we saw a performance and asked ourselves, how is Pink Fantasy going to dance to a song that is straight-up screamo in some places? The answer: unbelievably well in a stage that left us completely shook.
