top 10 kpop songs of the week: 3.28.21 to 4.3.21

check out our 10 favorite songs released by kbands, kpop groups and solos this week

#10 – 2z – Stupid

A little brass and steady rock guitar team up to give 2Z‘s new single a retro vibe that we can’t get enough, and those oh, oh, ohs in the chorus make the song a total earworm.

#9 – WJSN – Unnatural

In their new single Unnatural, WJSN perfectly employs one of their biggest assets–they have 10 members all of whom possess tremendous talent. The song has a bright, full feeling thanks to the harmonization, and the beat makes it a total bop.

#8 – Kim Sejeong – Let’s Go Home

This guitar-driven track gives Sejeong, formerly of gugudan and IOI, a chance to show off her gorgeous delicate vocals. We love its pop rock sound, and the sweetness of the lyrics.

#7 – Monika – Go On

Monika, formerly of BADKIDZ, brings on the jazz in this soft guitar-backed song that is perfect for putting on when you’re ready for a little chill.

#6 – Kang Seungyoon – Captain

You could make a case for any song from Seungyoon of WINNER‘s skip-free masterpiece of a solo album to make this list. Ultimately, Captain made the cut because we love the seafaring metaphor and that bold marching-forward chorus.

#5 – Kim Sungkyu – Hush

Kim Sungkyu of INFINITE‘s new solo single album is an absolutely gorgeous masterpiece, and the single has an uplifting quality brought to life by his beautiful voice. And if you listen carefully, the rhythm sounds like a heartbeat, which we absolutely love.

#4 – Park Bom – Do Re Mi Fa Sol ft. CHANGMO

Park Bom, formerly of 2NE1, shows off her bluesy voice in this floaty track, and CHANGMO‘s addition to the song adds a cool edge, showing just how good a vocal-rap collaboration can be.

#3 – Late Night movie – Ha Hyunsang

Hyunsang of HOPPIPOLLA shows off his expressive angelic voice in this song filled with poignant lyrics that capture that kind of longing that you feel all the way to your soul.

#2 – Baekhyun – Bambi

With Bambi, Baekhyun of EXO turns R&B babymaking music into a dreamy fairy tale and demonstrates his incredible versatility.

#1 – Hoshi – Spider

Hoshi of SEVENTEEN‘s self-produced solo debut brings the smolder with his unique vocal texture set against an alluring musical backdrop. We’ve been caught in its web since its release on Friday.
