today is national margarita day. celebrate by breaking out the salt and putting on our kard playlist

For those of you who haven’t had the pleasure yet, meet KARD. They’re a coed kpop group that debuted in 2017 made up of 4 members: BM, Somin, Jiwoo and J.Seph. And there is absolutely nothing else like them in kpop.

It’s not just because they’re a coed group either. KARD has a super unique sound that combines classic kpop with everything from Bollywood to Latin rhythms. The latter is why we’re here–it’s National Margarita Day here in the states, and tonight we intend to sip while listening to one of our favorite groups. We want you to do the same–even if you don’t have a margarita at your disposal.

Why we love it: With its title meaning, “Hello Hello” in Spanish, this song served as the debut for KARD, and its uplifting spirit was the perfect introduction to the group

Why we love it: All four of their voices combine perfectly in this track, capturing the full magic of KARD

Why we love it: So much of KARD’s music is super sexy, but this song shows they can do the soft, carefree sound just as well

Why we love it: It’s super fun, and it’s a collab with Super Junior

Dímelo

Release date: July 25, 2018

Why we love it: For us, there’s no better incarnation of KARD’s Spanish-English-Korean fusion than this song.

RED MOON

Why we love it: This señorita was NOT ready for how good this song was. It was easily one of the best kpop songs of last year

You in Me

Release date: November 21, 2017

Why we love it: The song shows what a strong rapper J.seph is, and the whole thing has this haunting quality. It just sticks with you long after you finish listening.

Don’t Recall

Release date: February 16, 2017

Why we love it: This song is a true Moombahton masterpiece. If someone asks for an example of how the beat can be used to perfection in pop, this out of all other songs in the world would be what we’d send them
